Working Pattern: Permanent, Full Time, Monday - Friday, 37 hours between 6:00am and 5:00pm, with core hours from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday to Thursday, and 7:00am to 12:00pm on Friday.

Enerveo manages over 1 million streetlights across the UK and Ireland, playing a major role in reducing energy consumption and carbon footprints through design, project management, consultancy, installation, and maintenance. We aim to help towns and cities become smarter, greener, and more efficient. Could you be our next Highways Electrician to join the team and drive this success forward?

What will I be doing in this role?

This role involves maintaining streetlighting infrastructure, including streetlights, signs, and subways; carrying out electrical connections to new street lighting; fault diagnosis and repairs; cyclic maintenance such as lamp changes, visual inspections, and electrical testing; operating mobile elevated working platforms; and attending emergency standby rota to respond to out-of-hours call outs, Monday to Sunday. All work must be performed following strict safety guidelines and regulations.

What do I need to be successful in the role?
  • An electrical background with an apprenticeship achieving NVQ Level 3, along with AM2 and City and Guilds 2391 qualifications.
  • Good knowledge of the 18th Edition wiring regulations is beneficial.
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
  • Willingness to work outdoors year-round, often at heights above 12m using MEWPs.
  • A full UK Driving Licence, as the role covers a wide range of locations.
Nice to haves:
  • IPAF/PASMA working at heights training.
  • Additional knowledge of the 18th Edition regulations.
  • Qualifications like AM2, City and Guilds 2391, or completion of a G39 Electrical Safety course.
  • An HGV Class 2 Licence.

We support candidates in achieving any industry training or qualifications they may not currently possess. Don't worry if you don't meet all the 'nice to have' criteria—we value potential and experience.

What are the benefits for me?

We offer a range of benefits beyond salary, designed to support your wellbeing and work-life balance. Details will be provided during the application process.
