Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Manchester is recruiting an Associate or Associate Director to lead civil/highway design teams. You will manage projects, coordinate multi-disciplinary inputs, and mentor junior staff while delivering quality on time and within budget.

You will act as a Project Manager across UK and overseas projects, develop client relationships, and support business development through tenders and bids. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering with project management experience.
• Chartered or Incorporated professional qualification desirable.
• Experience across civil/highway design projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to design teams for UK and overseas projects.
• Act as Project Manager, coordinate multi-disciplinary inputs and reviews.
• Manage resources and people at project level within the local team.
• Agree fees and manage commercial position on projects.
• Lead technical reviews and foster a culture of excellence.
• Develop client relationships and pursue sustainable, future-proof developments.
• Lead or contribute to tenders and bids; supervise junior team members.
• Collaborate with regional and wider Development teams to achieve objectives.
