Southwark Council is seeking an Engineer - Minor Works to design and deliver highway projects across the borough. You will lead 2D design, prepare AutoCAD drawings, and support schemes from feasibility through to construction, including public consultations and site visits.

The role demands a recognised Civil/Highway/Transport degree, strong AutoCAD ability, and proven project delivery experience in complex urban environments.

Competenze

• Degree in Civil/Highway/Transportation Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD for producing technical drawings.
• Experience managing capital projects through feasibility, design and delivery.
• Experience delivering highway and transport improvement schemes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of CDM requirements and design risk management.

Mansioni

• Lead the design development of minor highway works schemes.
• Produce accurate AutoCAD drawings and traffic management plans.
• Manage budgets and programmes up to £300k and support larger programmes.
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants and contractors.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and tender information.
• Support public consultations and site visits.
• Ensure compliance with current standards and health and safety.
