Job summary

Calderdale Council is seeking an Engineering Team Manager to provide high level expert advice and leadership to the Highways Asset Management team, ensuring delivery of statutory and corporate objectives. You will manage the highway assets, maintain data in the asset management system, and communicate with stakeholders at all levels including councillors, MPs, utility providers and the public.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree or equivalent, extensive knowledge of highway asset

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Extensive knowledge of Highway asset management.
• Experience in day-to-day management of highway networks.
• Good understanding of relevant legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Highways Asset Management team to deliver statutory and corporate objectives.
• Provide high level expert advice on highways asset management and forward planning.
• Maintain and ensure data validity in the asset management system.
