Job summary

4Recruitment Services in Oxfordshire is inviting applications for a Highway Inspector to help keep the highway network safe, compliant and well maintained.

You will carry out planned and ad hoc inspections, identify defects, monitor works and manage customer enquiries. A full driving licence and willingness to travel across Oxfordshire are required. Hybrid working: 2-3 days in the office.

Qualifications

• Experience in highway safety inspections or a similar environment.
• Knowledge of the Highways Act 1980 and Section 58 defence.
• Knowledge of the Well-Managed Highway Infrastructure Code of Practice.
• Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to assess risk and prioritise workload effectively.
• Competence in inspection systems and reporting tools.

Salary: £30-£35 per hour
