Warwickshire County Council is seeking a motivated Highway Engineer to design, develop and deliver structural highway maintenance schemes across the county. You will manage projects from inception to delivery, coordinating with contractors and stakeholders to ensure works are completed safely, on time and to budget.
The role involves supervising site works, assessing traffic management, preparing specifications and contributing to future maintenance programmes to improve the highway network.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Highway Engineer to join Warwickshire County Council's Structural Highway Maintenance Team. The team is responsible for developing and delivering a wide range of highway maintenance and capital improvement programmes across the county, working in partnership with our term maintenance contractor and key stakeholders.
As a Highway Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development and delivery of structural highway maintenance schemes, including carriageway and footway resurfacing, reconstruction, drainage improvements, surface dressing and other asset management initiatives. You will be responsible for managing projects from inception through to delivery, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, within budget and to the required quality standards.
The successful candidate will work closely with contractors, suppliers, local communities and elected members to help maintain and improve Warwickshire's highway network, delivering real benefits to residents and road users across the county.
