Matchtech Group's client is seeking a Highway Asset Engineer to join the City Operations Asset Management team on a contract basis. You will support highway maintenance programmes and provide technical input across major projects, including HS2 and metro schemes.

Responsibilities include reviewing designs, ensuring standards compliance, and collaborating with project teams and external stakeholders to deliver practical asset management solutions over the ~10 month contract starting in December.

Qualifications

• Experience in highway engineering and asset management.
• Understanding of highway maintenance programmes and asset management principles.
• Knowledge of design review and approval processes.
• Ability to provide clear technical advice and engineering input.
• Strong understanding of relevant highway standards and industry best practice.
• Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a City Operations or infrastructure environment.
