Job summary

Provide Community is seeking an enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to support children and young people across Essex in a Band 7 role.

You will lead on service delivery in designated settings, hold a highly specialist clinical caseload in complex needs and AAC, and supervise therapists and assistants. There are opportunities to contribute to service planning and to work within the broader SEND Therapies team.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with HCPC.
  • Experience in Band 7 level or equivalent.
  • Experience with AAC and complex needs.
  • Ability to supervise and develop staff and therapy assistants.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on service delivery in designated settings.
  • Maintain a highly specialist clinical caseload in complex needs and AAC.
  • Supervise and line manage therapists and assistants.
  • Contribute to planning and delivery of the Therapies service.
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary SEND Therapies team.

Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated speech and language therapist to help us support children and young people in a range of settings across Essex.

This Band 7 role involves co‑ordinating, supporting and delivering a high quality, evidence based service in a range of settings, predominantly within the clinical fields of complex needs and AAC. There are also opportunities to supervise and manage therapists, developing their skills, as well as therapy assistants.

Key responsibilities
  • To lead on service delivery in designated settings
  • To hold a highly specialist clinical caseload within these schools.
  • To supervise and line manage therapists and assistants
  • To contribute to the planning and service delivery of the Therapies service
  • To work as part of the Speech and Language Therapy team, as well as the wider multi disciplinary SEND Therapies team.
