University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Echocardiographer to join the Cardiology team. The role covers two sites and includes standard transthoracic and advanced echocardiography techniques, with opportunities for in-house training of junior physiologists.
The successful candidate should hold BSE accreditation; clinical skills in rhythm management or PCI are desirable but not essential.
We are extremely proud of our Echocardiography departments across our two sites. As well as standard transthoracic studies we also perform 3D echocardiograms, bubble and contrast studies and stress echo procedures as well as supporting the transoesophageal echo service.
The successful candidate will hold BSE accreditation, be enthusiastic and passionate about improving patient centred care and be motivated about providing in-house training for junior physiologists. Clinical skills in either cardiac rhythm management or PCI are desirable but not essential.
The post is for a full time position however part time applicants will be considered.
This post will include Saturday working on a rotational basis.
This role requires a BSc in Cardiac Physiology or BTEC HNC or equivalent.
Applicants for this position need to hold full TTE BSE accreditation to be considered for this post.

As part of this, some services may move site this year or next, either temporarily or permanently. Recruiting Managers will be happy to answer any service-specific questions at interview.
If a role or service relocates as part of a planned move, excess mileage will not be reimbursed. Travel from home to the new work base will be classed as a normal commute. Any other changes will be managed under Trust or national terms and conditions.
