A community-focused primary school is seeking an enthusiastic HLTA to join their supportive team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality teaching support, cover PPA sessions, and take on line-management responsibilities for teaching assistants. The school is committed to professional development and high educational standards, making it an excellent place for passionate educators. If you are driven to make a positive impact within the community and contribute to a nurturing learning environment, we would love to hear from you.
We are looking to appoint innovative, creative and enthusiastic HLTA to join the Yew Tree family. We are a friendly three-form entry primary school with a nursery class, and we are looking for a committed practitioner capable of providing high quality teaching and learning support to join a supportive team of staff who passionately believe in providing the best education for our children.
We are looking for experienced HLTA or a highly skilled teaching assistant ready for the next step in their career. Yew Tree provides an excellent education to children in our local community, so we are looking for someone who is capable and passionate about the work they do. We also seek candidates who can deliver high quality lessons with whole classes of pupils and possess identifiable leadership skills that can be used to support key aspects of our school work.
Within the HLTA role, there will be a teaching commitment covering PPA sessions across the school, as well as dedicated time to support the leadership of an agreed area of school development (Assistant SENDCO in the first instance). The HLTA will also be expected to take on line‑management responsibilities for other teaching assistants and to support teaching across all year groups at the school for a proportion of their timetable.
We are interested in hearing from individuals with a range of talents, experiences and skills that offer something unique to our school community. Teaching at Yew Tree is more than a job; it is being part of our family and our community!
We want to meet candidates who believe they have something to offer Yew Tree and who can support us in securing our drive for the highest possible standards at the school. We believe children get one chance at education, so we want somebody who is relentless in their desire to provide the best for the children in our care.
We particularly want to hear from candidates who passionately believe in our five core values (responsibility, respect, courage, ambition & pride) and our vision of ‘Learning Without Limits’ for all of our children.
There will be training opportunities to support the appointed person in the role.
Yew Tree Primary School complies with all aspects of the Equality Act and expects all staff to support protected characteristics. Any posts are subject to approval of two references and necessary safeguarding checks (including online candidate searches).
Visits can be arranged by contacting the school. Candidates are also invited to view our website, Twitter feed and a virtual tour of our school available at: Yew Tree Virtual Tour.
We would also be happy to arrange a phone conversation with a member of the Senior Leadership Team if candidates have any questions. This can be arranged by contacting the school on 01922 626 926.
