Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Peterhouse School, Southport

35 hours per week, term time only

£26,307 per annum

(actual salary based on working term-time only)

We are looking for an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting exceptional children and a creative approach to meeting needs and enhancing curriculum delivery.

In this role you will work collaboratively with the teacher and class staff team, to deliver education sessions and create a welcoming environment where all children and their parents feel valued and supported.

We want pupils to be excited about coming to school and love learning. We want them to be motivated and challenged as they thrive in a school that understands their individuality and celebrates their unique qualities and strengths. Most of all, we are committed to providing every learner with the tools and strategies to become a successful autistic adult.

As a HLTA, you will be able to think creatively and flexibly, using an understanding of each pupil’s individual needs. You will support the teacher in delivering our specialist curriculum, finding ways to engage pupils and overcome barriers to learning. You will have a positive attitude and be willing to reflect and develop. You will have a strong understanding of Autism, and hold a Teaching Assistant Level 3 Diploma as a minimum qualification.
