Job description

Hours:

Full-time: 35 hours per week(Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:00)

Why be a Higher Level Teaching Assistant?

To make a real difference to children's learning and progress by supporting class teaching including PPA cover, assisting in providing a learning environment that enables all children to learn to the best of their ability, to support all children's well-being and to lead intervention groups. We arecurrently looking for an HLTA who would like to specialise and assist the students learning in Food Technology.

Are you:

  • have a passion for food technology, be methodical and creative ;
  • caring, committed and motivated for yourself and others;
  • experienced working with children (although this is not essential);
  • adaptable with a can-do attitude;
  • great at working in a team with initiative to work independently to support children in achieving their best;
  • literate and numerate with exam passes to evidence this;
  • able to establish supportive, caring and secure relationships with children, promoting respect, self-esteem and a positive, inclusive whole school ethos;
  • able to lead intervention groups in order to support learning or any emotional, social or behavioural needs of any children;
  • provide effective feedback to children and teachers including appropriate marking and record keeping to support the learning process.
