Academics, a leading Education Agency, is recruiting for enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) to support primary schools in Rotherham and the surrounding South Yorkshire region.

This flexible, temporary role suits an ECT, graduates, or experienced HLTA's seeking varied work across different classes and age ranges, with opportunities for long-term placements and CPD.

You will work with dedicated consultants and be paid weekly via PAYE.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is advantageous.
• Degree level education or Level 4 HLTA or equivalent qualification.
• DBS check may be required (Enhanced DBS).
• Genuine passion for education and training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons and support learning in line with planning.
• Follow schools' behaviour and rewards policies.
• Support children's learning in a nurturing environment.

The Role

• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners
• Work independently and as part of a team across different settings
• Be flexible and adaptable, the role can require you to be happy to move into different classes, cover different age ranges, different levels of ability. Think on your feet.
• Desirable which may help with the role is if you drive and have access to own car or vechicle

Requirements for the role - Higher Level Teaching Assistant Rotherham HLTA

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (not essential but can be helpful
• Degree educated or Level 4 HLTA or equivalent qulification
• Previous experience in school setting desirable- but we are open to Graduates seeking a career in teaching
• Strong knowledge of how schools work
• Confident behaviour management skills
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
• A genuine passion for education and training
• Happy to complete mandatory training needed to be cleared to work in school setting - Child Safeguarding, Allergy Training and so on.
