Job summary

NSAT is seeking an enthusiastic HLTA to join our Resource Provision, supporting pupils with Communication and Interaction needs, including autistic pupils and those with SLCN. You will work closely with the Resource Provision Lead, SENDCo, families and specialists to help children communicate, participate and thrive.

Responsibilities

• Support the SENDCo and Resource Provision Lead in the day-to-day running of the Resource Provision.
• Deliver targeted interventions and personalised learning programmes.
• Support pupils in both specialist and mainstream settings.
• Use communication approaches such as visual supports, AAC, PECS and structured teaching strategies.
• Promote social understanding, emotional regulation and independence.
• Model effective practice and support the development of colleagues.
• Work collaboratively with families and external agencies to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
• Help create a nurturing, structured and inclusive environment where every child feels valued.

About The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, caring and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our Resource Provision, supporting pupils with Communication and Interaction needs, including autistic pupils and those with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). Working closely with our Resource Provision Lead, SENDCo, families and specialist professionals, you will play a key role in helping children communicate, participate, belong and thrive.

As Our HLTA, You Will

• Support the SENDCo and Resource Provision Lead in the day-to-day running of the Resource Provision.
• Deliver targeted interventions and personalised learning programmes.
• Support pupils in both specialist and mainstream settings.
