Make a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs
Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or SEN professional with a passion for supporting young people with autism and additional needs?
CareED Recruitment are seeking a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner / Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive specialist school in Surrey.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building positive relationships with young people, understands the importance of emotional regulation and positive behaviour support, and wants to play a key role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
The school supports young people aged 11-16 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), providing a nurturing, structured and inclusive learning environment where every pupil is encouraged to develop confidence, independence and essential life skills.
With small classes, a dedicated pastoral team and access to specialist therapeutic support, you'll be joining a school that genuinely values teamwork and puts its pupils at the heart of everything it does.
This is more than a traditional HLTA position.
You’ll work closely with teaching staff, the Pastoral Lead and the wider therapy team to help develop and embed positive behaviour support strategies across the school.
Your focus will be on understanding the individual needs of pupils, promoting emotional wellbeing and helping young people develop the skills they need to manage challenges and engage positively with their education.
We’re looking for someone who is patient, resilient, compassionate and confident in supporting young people with additional needs.
CareEd Recruitment is supporting the school with this permanent appointment.
