Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is recruiting a confident HLTA to join a welcoming primary school in Camden. This is a great opportunity for an HLTA who aims to support pupils to reach their full potential across KS1 and KS2.

You will cover planned lessons, lead small group and intervention sessions, support SEND pupils, and work closely with teachers and senior leaders to create an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience in a UK primary school.
• Strong knowledge of KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
• Excellent behaviour management skills.
• Confidence leading whole class learning.
• Proactive and flexible approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS1 and KS2.
• Support pupils in whole class, small group and one-to-one settings.
• Lead targeted interventions to raise attainment.
• Support pupils with SEND where required.
• Collaborate with teachers and SLT.
• Help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Start Date: November 2026
Contract: Full Time | Term Time Only | Long Term with the opportunity to become permanent

Protocol Education is recruiting a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Camden. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HLTA who is passionate about supporting pupils to achieve their full potential and is ready to take on additional classroom responsibilities across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

The successful candidate will work across KS1 and KS2, providing high-quality classroom support, delivering planned lessons during Teacher release time and leading small group and intervention sessions.

The role includes:

• Delivering pre-planned lessons across KS1 and KS2
• Supporting pupils in whole class, small group and one-to-one settings
• Leading targeted interventions to raise attainment
• Supporting pupils with SEND where required
• Working closely with Teachers and the senior leadership team
• Helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment

The successful candidate will have:

• HLTA status or equivalent experience
• Previous experience working in a UK primary school
• Strong knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum
• Excellent behaviour management skills
• Confidence leading whole class learning
• A positive, flexible and proactive approach
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
