Job summary

Teach Now is recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a primary school in Enfield. The successful candidate will support KS1 and KS2, deliver planned activities in teacher absence, and run targeted interventions.

You will work independently while remaining an integral part of the teaching team, with enhanced DBS checks and the right to work in the UK. The role is full-time and temporary, starting September 2026.

Qualifications

  • HLTA qualification or substantial primary-school experience.
  • Experience supporting KS1 and KS2 pupils.
  • Ability to lead a classroom confidently and effectively.
  • Strong literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
  • A positive and flexible approach to working with children.
  • Enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

Are you ready to take on more responsibility in the classroom while continuing to make a direct difference to pupils?

Teach Now is recruiting a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a primary school in Enfield. The school is looking for someone who can confidently support teaching and learning across KS1 and KS2, lead targeted interventions and step into whole-class delivery when required.

This would suit an experienced teaching assistant or HLTA who is comfortable working independently while remaining an integral part of the wider teaching team.

The Role

Pay is dependent on qualifications and experience.
