Job summary

The Crossways Schools are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning in Key Stage 1 and 2. The successful candidate will have Level 3 TA qualification, experience in supporting pupils, and a calm, adaptable approach.

This permanent, term-time role starts on 04/01/2027 and is 28 hours 45 minutes per week, Monday to Friday, with a 60-minute lunch break. Interviews are planned for 21 October to shortlist suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 TA qualification.
• Experience supporting teaching and learning in Key Stage 1 and 2.
• Ability to demonstrate impact of support for pupils.
• Well organized, flexible, patient and calm with a consistent approach.
• Effective communication with the school community.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning in KS1 and KS2.
• Work with pupils individually and in groups to boost progress.
• Maintain a calm, patient and consistent classroom approach.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, pupils and parents as required.
