About this Role

Carlton le Willows are looking to appoint a HLTA to join our academy as soon as possible on a full time,temporary basis until August 2027.

Your new role

As a HLTA, you will complement teachers' delivery of thecurriculum and contribute to the development of other support staff, pupils andacademy policies and strategies. You will work collaboratively with teachingstaff and assist them in the whole planning cycle and themanagement/preparation of resources. You will supervise whole classes duringthe short term absence of teachers. You will provide support to pupils,teachers and the academy in order to raise standards of achievement for all, byutilising your advanced levels of knowledge and skills when assisting withplanning, monitoring, assessing and managing classes and to encourage pupils tobecome independent learners. You will provide support for pupil welfare andsupport the inclusion of pupils in all aspects of academy life.

With a consistent record of highacademic attainment, Carlton le Willows remains one of the top performingschools in the area, achieving the best ever results in the school's historythis summer. Results for 2025 saw 85% of students achieve a Grade 4 orabove in English and Maths, compared with a 65% national average. In total 69%of students secured a strong pass of a Grade 5 or above in those two coresubjects, far exceeding the national average of 46% and meaning we areplaced well above similar schools nationally.

A level students in our highperforming sixth form also celebrated strong results with more than 91% ofthe cohort securing a place at their first choice university, retaining ourreputation for academic excellence post 16.
