Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Winchester

In this role, you’ll do more than support learning—you’ll shape it. Contract: Full time – September 2025 start

Salary: £80 - £100 per day

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide whole-class supervision and PPA cover as required.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Support individual students and small groups to enhance learning.
  • Contribute to curriculum programs and classroom environment.
  • Maintain records of pupils' progress and observations.
  • Work independently to support pupils and adapt learning as needed.
  • Uphold safeguarding, confidentiality, and school policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • HLTA qualification or relevant experience (essential)
  • UK driving licence (desired)
  • Experience supporting children’s learning, especially those with additional needs
  • Warm and approachable team player
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Confidence in leading lessons and stepping in when needed
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, ready to take initiative
