Job summary

Wheatfield Primary School in England is seeking an outstanding Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work across the primary phase, delivering planned lessons during teachers’ Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time and supporting learning. The successful candidate will plan and deliver high-quality lessons, create an engaging and supportive learning environment, and help raise achievement.

This post is term-time only with INSET days and a fixed-term contract to 31 August 2027; start

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting learning in a primary school setting.
  • Ability to deliver planned lessons and support teaching staff during PPA time.
  • Fluent spoken English and clear communication with pupils, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, innovative lessons to whole classes during teachers’ PPA time.
  • Create an engaging, supportive learning environment across the primary phase.

The successful candidate will work across the primary phase to support teaching and learning, including delivering planned lessons to whole classes during teachers’ Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time.
