Smile Education is proud to be working in partnership with a nurturing and inclusive primary school in Swadlincote, Burton, who are seeking a dedicated and confident HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) to join their team on a full-time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled HLTA who is confident covering classes, particularly in Key Stage 1.

Your Role Will Include:
• Providing class cover mainly across Key Stage 1 classes.
• Delivering planned lessons in the absence of the teacher.
• Leading intervention groups in literacy, numeracy, phonics and other core areas.
• Supporting the planning and delivery of engaging and inclusive activities.
• Working closely with the SENCO and class teachers to support pupil progress.
• Promoting positive behaviour and supporting the emotional well-being of pupils.

We’re Looking For:
• A qualified HLTA or experienced TA with HLTA-level skills.
• Confident delivering lessons to whole classes, particularly in KS1.
• Experience in running interventions and small group sessions.
• A team player with excellent communication skills.
• Someone who is proactive, reliable, and passionate about primary education.
