Endon High School is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to manage the MAP Room and collaborate with pupils, families, and staff to ensure each pupil using the room has the best chance of a positive outcome.
The post holder will lead MAP Room operations under supervision of the Assistant SENCO and the SEND and Inclusion team, supporting learning activities, monitoring progress, and aiding reintegration into mainstream lessons as required.
We are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to manage the day-to-day running of the MAP Room and to work closely with pupils, families, and colleagues across the school to give every pupil who uses the room the best possible chance of a positive outcome.
The post holder will take the lead in running the MAP Room, working under the direction of the Assistant SENCO and the wider SEND and Inclusion team. The role has three core strands:
The post holder will support the work of qualified teachers and, under an agreed system of supervision, will have responsibility for agreed learning activities, including monitoring, recording and reporting on pupil progress. He/she will operate with a high level of delegated authority under an agreed system of supervision, and will be an integral part of the wider SEND and Inclusion team.
