Job summary

Teach Now in Barnet is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to lead learning and provide strong classroom support across KS1 and KS2. The role is full-time and temporary, starting 1 September 2026, with a daily rate of £100–£120.

You will deliver planned activities, support pupils including those with SEND, lead intervention groups, monitor progress and feed observations back to teachers, while helping maintain positive behaviour.

Qualifications

• HLTA level experience or equivalent leadership in a classroom.
• Strong literacy and numeracy with good communication and behaviour management.

Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who is confident leading learning as well as supporting it? Teach Now is recruiting for an exciting full-time primary opportunity in Barnet from September.

The role will include:

We’re looking for:

• An experienced primary practitioner already comfortable working at HLTA level. HLTA status, a Level 4 qualification or equivalent experience is highly desirable, alongside strong literacy, numeracy, communication and behaviour-management skills.
