Higher Level Teaching Assistant – SEMH Focus
Are you passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs and autism spectrum conditions (ASC)?
Do you have the experience, confidence, and creativity to help pupils thrive in a specialist setting? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a secondary school in Devizes, starting in September 2025, with the potential for an earlier start.

Your Role
Full-time position, Monday to Friday
Hours: 8.30am to 3.30pm (with minor variation depending on the weekday)
Deliver and support small group and one-to-one learning activities under teacher guidance
Provide emotional and behavioural support tailored to the needs of each student
Assist in planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons
Support students with autism and SEMH both in and out of the classroom
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and external agencies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
