Job summary

OneSchool Global UK is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant for our Colchester campus. This full-time, permanent role is term-time only, with a focus on supporting learning across year groups and collaborating with teachers.

You will deliver learning activities, support individuals and small groups, and help maintain high standards of teaching while adhering to current policies and safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering time-limited interventions in small groups or 1:1.
• Knowledge of current policies, codes of practice and legislation.
• Experience with children in learning environments.
• Understanding of statutory frameworks relating to teaching and learning.

About You

To be considered for this position you must have:

• To complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may involve joint-planning with teachers, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals / groups, or short term for whole classes across all year groups in the school
• Have previous experience delivering specific time limited interventions in small groups or 1:1
• Have full working knowledge of relevant current policies, cods of practice and legislation
• Experience of working with children of relevant age in a learning environment
• Working knowledge and experience of implementing national curriculum and other relevant learning programmes and strategies
• Understanding of statutory frameworks relating to teaching and learning
• Meet Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards or equivalent qualifications or experience (NVQ Level4/5)
