Werneth Primary School

Werneth Primary School is a two-form entry Primary School, with children from Nursery to Year 6. Our school values of Care-Aspire-Persevere are values that are lived by our children and by our Staff Team.

Rated 'Good' by Ofsted in May, 2023, we serve a diverse school community and are committed to making sure that every child makes excellent progress, no matter their starting point.

Education is part of the foundation of our children's future success, so we aim to raise aspirations so that expectations can be surpassed in every lesson, every day. We want our children to build a love of learning, enjoy our aspirational curriculum and access the many learning and personal development opportunities provided for them.

Teaching in primary education offers an incredibly rewarding career where every day brings new opportunities to inspire and make a difference. Yet, males remain unrepresented in the primary sector. We are proud to champion diversity and encourage all individuals to consider a career in primary teaching. By sharing experiences of male primary teachers we aim to challenge stereotypes and show that primary teaching is a profession where everyone can thrive.

By joining the Werneth Primary School Team, you will benefit from our extensive CPD programme (supplemented by The Pinnacle Learning Trust Research School) and enjoy working with our expert and committed staff, our aspirational families and our wonderful children.

Our colleagues underpin our mission and values, sharing high expectations and collaborative opportunities through supportive networks. We genuinely care about each other and the real difference we can make to pupils’ futures, and we want to recruit hard-working, conscientious and self-motivated staff who share our vision.

You can get a feel for the passion we have at Werneth Primary School through our website, but please do organise to come in and meet us in person. That’s the best way to get a sense of the dynamic and broad education that our children are enjoying and what your future at Werneth Primary School can be.

The Pinnacle Learning Trust

We are a locally focused, cross-phase Trust, with a rigorous culture of high aspirations and strong academic performance that will improve the life chances of our young people through an understanding of the communities we serve. Our academies provide high quality inclusive education and an ethos whereby our children and young people learn by example and grow morally and socially.

Our vision for our workforce is one in which diverse, dedicated, skilled and high-performing staff are operating in a healthy and inclusive work environment; enabling everyone to feel valued, respected and encouraged in order to contribute their best to support us in achieving our mission.

Our Trust invests in each member of staff, offering them professional development opportunities, as well as the opportunity to contribute to the development of others via our Research School. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging.

We are delighted to be the winners of the MAT Excellence Award for Wellbeing Trust of the Year 2025, and have been recognised by Edurio for a Trust Value Award, for the second year running.

  • We offer various health and wellbeing benefits, including an Employee Assistance programme offering counselling, GP and nurse services, physiotherapy, etc.
