Supply Desk Ltd is recruiting a confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a welcoming primary school in Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire. This full-time/part-time role begins January 2027 with a daily rate of £110–£140, dependent on experience.

You will support teachers across year groups, lead activities, and help raise attainment. Applicants should have HLTA qualification or equivalent, an Enhanced DBS, two references, and eligibility to work in the UK.

• Support pupils with a range of learning needs to access the curriculum effectively.

Our agency is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Aston Clinton, seeking a confident and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from Janaury 2027. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HLTA who is passionate about supporting pupils' learning and development while working closely with teaching staff across the school.

About the Role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will work collaboratively with class teachers to deliver engaging lessons, lead learning activities, and provide high-quality support to pupils, helping them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons to whole classes in the absence of the class teacher
• Support teaching and learning across a range of year groups
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to provide targeted intervention and raise attainment
• Assist with planning, preparing, and adapting learning activities to meet pupils' needs

• Support pupils with a range of learning needs, ensuring all children can access the curriculum effectively

Candidate Profile

• HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant experience
• Previous experience working within a primary school setting
• Confidence delivering lessons across different year groups
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective classroom practice
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, adaptable, and positive approach to supporting teaching and learning
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team

Requirements

• Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Two relevant professional references
• Eligibility to work in the UK
