Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd in Scunthorpe is seeking a part-time High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support across EYFS to KS2. The role involves classroom support, small groups and 1:1 work, starting November 2026 for the academic year.

The ideal HLTA will hold a Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent, with experience delivering Read Write Inc phonics, and a flexible, reliable approach to working with children aged 5-11. DBS checks and safeguarding are standard in our schools.

Qualifications

• Teaching Assistant qualification to Level 3 or above (EYP/QTS acceptable).
• Experience delivering the Read Write Inc phonics scheme.
• Flexible, reliable and adaptable.
• Recent experience supporting children aged 5-11.
• Good understanding of how children learn and develop.

we are looking to appoint a part-time inspirational and experienced High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who is friendly and adaptable with good knowledge of learning across EYFS KS1 and KS2, with a willingness to be flexible and support across the school, for a local primary school in Scunthorpe. The High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) will ideally have experience delivering the Read, Write, Inc phonics scheme. This role is varied and will involve supporting children in the classroom, in small groups and on a 1:1 basis starting November 2026 for at least the academic year part time to 2027.

Requirements

The desired High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) will:

• Hold a Teaching Assistant qualification to a Level 3 or above EYP/QTS is acceptable
• Have experience delivering the Read, Write, Inc Phonics scheme
• Have flexibility, reliability and adaptability
• Have recent experience supporting children aged 5-11
• Have a good understanding of how children learn and develop
• Experience working in a similar role
