Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a High Voltage Technician based in London to support the Senior Authorised Person (SAP) in maintaining critical infrastructure across multiple sites. The role covers hands-on fault-finding, repair and scheduled upkeep of HV and primary LV systems, with a 45-hour week and potential overtime.

You will need formal electrical qualifications and a valid UK driving licence; 18th Edition (17th with upgrade) and AP15 HV qualifications are ideal.

Qualifications

• Formal electrical qualifications and valid UK driving licence.
• HV fault-finding and maintenance experience.
• 18th Edition (17th with upgrade) and AP15 ideal.
• Willingness to travel across Thames Water sites.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain HV and primary LV equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Diagnose and resolve faults promptly, keeping compliance records.
• Supervise contractors and team during maintenance, ensuring safety & quality.
• Undertake SAP training and uphold electrical safety rules.
• Travel to multiple sites and provide technical support for SCADA systems.
