Chemify Ltd in Glasgow is seeking a Purification Technician to support a high-throughput purification workflow in a state-of-the-art laboratory.

You will work hands-on with top-of-the-range instruments, help develop efficient purification processes, and collaborate with software and engineering teams to improve automation and data quality. Training will be provided, with weekend shifts required to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• Higher or equivalent in English, mathematics and a science subject.
• HNC/HND or degree in a scientific field is a benefit but not a requirement.
• Good numeracy, literacy and attention to detail
• Ability to follow defined procedures accurately
• Oral and written communication skills (English fluency)

Responsabilités

• Core purification tasks: Handle and transfer samples, combine and evaporate fractions as they are generated by the purification, prepare samples for purification, and execute purification methods.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose instrument issues internally or via vendors.
• Collaboration: Work with chemists and lab ops to maximize workflow effectiveness.
• Innovation: Partner with engineering and software teams to test automation updates and suggest platform improvements.
• Process Development: Proactively design more efficient purification workflows.
• Documentation: Record experiments accurately and adapt to changing company priorities.
