Job summary

Choice Teachers are currently working with a number of secondary schools in and around Wigan that require passionate cover supervisors to work full time and part time on a temporary supply basis. We supply to secondary schools in Wigan, Leigh, Chorley, St Helens, Ormskirk, Preston, Southport.

The role involves supervising classes during short-term absence, delivering work set by the absent teacher, and supporting students across the curriculum. You will not need to plan or mark lessons.

Qualifications

• Educated to A-level or degree level is desired.
• DBS certificate on the update service or be able to obtain one.
• Two professional references.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes during short-term absence.
• Deliver work set by the absent teacher.
• Support learners and maintain behaviour in line with school policy.
• Not required to plan or mark lessons; may work at different schools.
