Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is supporting a mainstream secondary school in Stockport to recruit a Computing Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis. The role covers KS3 and KS4, requiring strong subject knowledge, engaging lesson delivery and solid assessment of pupil progress.

You will plan and deliver Computing lessons, mark pupils’ work and maintain positive classroom behaviour within a supportive educational environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience teaching Computing across KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong Computing knowledge including programming concepts.
  • Ability to plan engaging lessons and assess pupil progress.

Responsibilities

Are you a qualified Computing Teacher with experience teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4?

Can you inspire pupils with engaging lessons that develop their computing knowledge and problem-solving skills?

Do you have strong classroom management and the ability to support pupils with different learning needs?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary comprehensive school in Stockport. The school has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and provides education for pupils across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4.

The school is looking to appoint a Computing Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis, starting after October half term. You will be responsible for planning and delivering Computing lessons across KS3 and KS4, marking pupils’ work and assessing progress while maintaining positive classroom behaviour.

The successful Computing Teacher will have:
  • Experience teaching Computing across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
  • Strong Computing subject knowledge, including programming and computational thinking
  • The ability to plan engaging lessons, adapt teaching and assess pupil progress
  • Strong communication skills and an enthusiastic, adaptable approach
