Job summary

Rising Sun Domestic Violence and Abuse Service is seeking a High Support Needs IDVA to deliver frontline advocacy and risk assessment for survivors with complex needs in Canterbury and surrounding areas. The role blends centre, office, and community work, with a weekly drop-in and regular supervision to support staff wellbeing.

You will work with partner agencies to coordinate multi-agency responses, provide trauma-informed support, and help survivors make safe, informed choices.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality case work support and information to victims/survivors with high support needs.
• Support access to services for safety planning and needs
• Identify and assess needs using risk identification checklist with a trauma-informed approach
• Provide 1:1 support to survivors across Canterbury district (Ashford, Canterbury, Folkestone & Hythe)
• Manage caseload per policies, maintain confidentiality
• Work as part of a team and attend clinical supervision
• Hold weekly information/advice drop-in sessions and lead programmes when required
• Advocate for high-risk victims with agencies to address safety and housing/health/finance
