Job summary

Honeycomb Group in Derbyshire is seeking an experienced Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) to support high‑risk victims of domestic abuse. This fixed-term, full‑time role focuses on empowering survivors and coordinating practical and legal options.

You will manage caseloads, conduct risk assessments, safety planning and MARAC referrals, and work within a multi‑agency framework with police, health, housing and safeguarding professionals.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Demonstrable experience supporting adults affected by domestic abuse.
• Formal qualification such as IDVA, or willingness to complete.
• DBS check and police vetting.

Responsibilities

• Manage your caseload, ensuring each victim receives appropriate service.
• Complete risk assessments, safety planning, referrals and MARAC processes.
• Work within a multi-agency framework including MARAC, police, health, housing and safeguarding professionals.
• Provide practical, emotional and advocacy support, including safety planning and legal options guidance.
• Keep victims at the heart of all activities, offering flexible, accessible support.
