Job summary

A leading rail manufacturing and maintenance business is looking for 2 System Technicians, based primarily in Leicester with extensive travel requirements. The role offers an initial salary of £45,000, rising to £48,000 with a 20% shift allowance for those who possess NVQ Level 3 qualifications and relevant experience in rail or passenger services. Successful candidates will perform fault finding and mobile response tasks in a variety of conditions, contributing significantly to the launch of a new locomotive fleet.

Qualifications

• High Level Technician role, involving fault finding and mobile response.
• Passenger or Rail Freight experience is essential.
• Electrical bias preferred (70% electrical / 30% mechanical).

Responsibilities

• Shift pattern includes days/nights/weekends, with extensive travel required.
• Conduct mobile response and fault finding for rail systems.
• Complete training with travel to UK and European sites.

TXM Recruit are working exclusively with a rail manufacturing and maintenance business who are looking for 2 x System Technicians to help with the introduction of a new locomotive fleet

About the Role - Based out of Leicester but travel within a 4 hour window around Leicester required frequently as part of working shift. UK wide travel required from time to time

Responsibilities:

• Shift pattern to include days / nights / weekends (shift TBD)
• Extensive travel required as part of training programme (to include UK sites + European travel)
• Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification or Advanced Modern Apprenticeship required
• Full sentinel medical / D+A required
• Candidates will be required trackside mainline
• Interview 2 stage process (Teams initial followed by site visit and practical test)

£45,000 initial basic salary rising to £48,000 + 20% shift allowance applicable from commencement of employment
