Job summary

Westover Green Community School and Autism Centre in Bridgwater is seeking a motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support pupils across different learning settings, helping them access the curriculum and achieve. You will join a collaborative, inclusive team committed to every child reaching their potential.

This part-time, permanent role is 31.5 hours per week during term time, with a start date of 09/11/2026.

Qualifications

• Supports teaching and learning across the school, under supervision.
• Experience of supporting pupils in the classroom and leading learning activities is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils individually or in groups or as a whole class to access the curriculum.
• Help pupils participate in learning and achieve a sense of achievement.
• Assist with learning activities and classroom routines under supervision.

• Brings energy, dedication and enthusiasm to supporting teaching and learning across the school commitment and creativity to their work

• Has a good standard of education, including 5 GCSEs (including English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above), together with experience of supporting pupils in the classroom and leading learning activities under supervision

Role information
