Job summary

Southern Lights is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer in the United Kingdom. You will design and develop embedded software for high-integrity, real-time systems, collaborating with systems and verification engineers throughout the full development lifecycle to deliver reliable, safe solutions in regulated environments.

The role emphasizes architecture, integration and testing, with opportunities to work on challenging greenfield projects and to grow within a growing engineering

Qualifications

Strong embedded software background for high-integrity systems.
Commercial experience with C, C++, Ada or similar languages.
Experience developing software within regulated or safety-critical environments.
Understanding of software testing and verification practices.

Responsibilities

Design and develop embedded software for high-integrity systems.
Develop software for real-time and embedded platforms.
Support software architecture and technical design.
Work closely with verification engineers throughout development.
Contribute to software quality and assurance activities.
Support integration and deployment.
Produce clear technical documentation.
