Job summary

INDTECH is seeking a Safety-Critical Software Engineer in Oxfordshire. The role focuses on embedded software for autonomous platforms, providing runtime assurance and safety monitoring in highly regulated environments.

You will work with a dedicated team on high-integrity software for certified autonomous systems, engaging with aerospace and defence domains. Hybrid work arrangement includes three days on-site weekly.

Qualifications

Proven experience in embedded safety-critical software development.
Experience with real-time/embedded systems.
Experience in regulated development environments.
Strong debugging and analytical skills.
Ability to work in multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Design and develop safety-critical embedded software for autonomous platforms.
Develop components for runtime assurance and safety monitoring.
Contribute to high-integrity software for regulated environments.
Support software architecture of certifiable autonomous systems.
Collaborate with verification, validation and certification teams to meet objectives.
Integrate software across mission systems and safety functions.
Assist in software safety analysis and design assurance activities.
Contribute to evolution of platform capabilities from development to deployment.
