Job summary

Charterhouse in Surrey is seeking a Security Patrol Officer to contribute to a safe environment for pupils and staff. You will provide uniformed, high visibility security both in the vehicle and on foot, and conduct regular patrols of the school grounds while ensuring fire and security integrity.

The role includes 12-hour shifts on a 2/2/4 rota with night patrols and incident response. A full driving licence and IT literacy are essential, with additional duties during events.

Qualifications

• Confident communicator able to convey information clearly at all levels (oral and written).
• Commitment to excellent customer service and discretion with confidential information.
• Flexible, quick learner with a calm demeanour under pressure.
• IT literacy and skills in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide uniformed high visibility security in vehicle and on foot.
• Conduct internal policing of school grounds and secure buildings, include fire safety checks.
• Attend fire alarm activations and assist with drills.
• Respond to incidents 24/7 and document in the Pocket Notebook.
