Protocol Education Ltd in Gateshead seeks an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a specialist SEND school on a full-time basis. You will support pupils with SEND, lead small-group interventions, and work closely with teachers to deliver planned activities.

The ideal candidate will have HLTA/TA experience, be confident leading learning activities, patient, resilient, and a strong communicator who fosters positive relationships and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Experienced HLTA or Teaching Assistant.
• Confident leading learning activities and interventions.
• Patient, calm and approachable.

Responsibilities

• Lead small-group interventions and planned learning activities.
• Support pupils with a range of SEND needs.
• Deliver and adapt activities to meet individual needs.
• Monitor and record pupil progress and engagement.
• Provide classroom cover when required.
• Collaborate with teachers and specialist staff.
• Support behaviour management and inclusive participation.
