Job summary

Dunbia is seeking Hides Operatives to assist on our production lines. You will trim, sort, grade and preserve hides and skins to ensure quality for further processing, with responsibilities spanning chilling, salting and weighing as part of a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work on your own initiative whilst part of a team.
• Flexible approach to work and be prepared to work additional hours when required to meet customer demand.
• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Trim, sort, grade and preserve hides and skins for further processing.
• Occasional loading of lorries/dollavs/boxes ready for despatch.
• Maintain a clean and tidy factory with a clean-as-you-go policy during production.

Job description

We require Hides Operatives to assist with production. You will be responsible for ensuring hides and skins are trimmed, sorted, graded and preserved for further processing.

Responsibilities

The role involves ensuring hides and skins are trimmed, sorted, graded and preserved for further processing. This includes various semi-skilled and non-skilled jobs associated with the preservation of cattle hides and sheep skins, e.g. chilling and salting hides and skins, trimming, weighing, and grading. The role will involve occasional loading of lorries/dolavs/boxes ready for despatch. Employees must ensure the factory is kept clean and tidy at all times with the operation of a ‘clean-as-you-go’ policy during production

Qualifications

• Possess excellent communication skills;
• Demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative whilst working as part of a team striving to achieve high levels of customer service;
• Flexible approach to work and be prepared to work additional hours when required to meet customer demand.
• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
