Job summary

Travis Perkins in Tonbridge is seeking an HIAB equipped HGV driver (Class 2) to deliver building materials to local customers. You will load the HIAB, ensure loads are secure, and complete around 14 drops a day while maintaining professional road presence.

This full-time role offers a competitive salary with a total annual bonus potential up to £2,700, funded CPC training, staff discounts, a pension, and ongoing development opportunities within the UK's largest builders' merchant network.

Qualifications

• You’ll need a Class 2 driving licence (Category C), up-to-date CPC records, and have held a Category B driving licence for 12+ months.
• HIAB driver experience is required and you should be customer-focused and safety-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials from the branch to local customers.
• Load and operate the HIAB, ensuring loads are secure and compliant.
• Complete around 14 drops per day and return to the branch to reload as needed.

What will you be doing?
You’ll be delivering building materials from our branch to local customers, making sure everything’s safe and sound. You’ll load up your vehicle with the HIAB, double-check it’s all properly packed and legal, and then hit the road. As our face on the road, you’ll keep it professional while making around 14 drops a day, then head back to the branch to reload when needed.

Who you are

• Requirements: You’ll need a Class 2 driving license (Category C), up-to-date CPC records, and have held a Category B license for 12+ months.

• HIAB experience: HIAB driver experience is required!

• Customer-focused: You’ll be confident building and developing relationships with customers.

• Safety-focused: You’ll prioritise safety in every aspect of your work, completing tasks in a professional manner.
