Job summary

Grundon is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our Beenham workshop, delivering high-quality maintenance and repairs to keep fleet available. You will work to manufacturer standards and ensure compliance with safety policies.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will inspect, service and repair vehicles, prepare for MOT testing, and maintain accurate records. You will also mentor apprentices and contribute to a collaborative team environment, with opportunities for training and

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Parts 1–3 or NVQ Level 3 or 10 years of relevant experience.
• Valid HGV licence (Class 2), tachograph card, and Driver CPC.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems with safe, cost-effective repairs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs on vehicles to deadlines.
• Prepare HGVs for annual MOT testing.
• Diagnose faults in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Complete service records and follow incident reporting procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean workshop and use PPE.
• Support apprentices and broader team.
• Provide roadside assistance when safe to do so.
• Occasional coverage at other site as required.
