Job summary

KAUTEC RECRUITMENT Ltd presents a Workshop HGV Engineer role. This position is a permanent day-shift role with a basic salary up to £46,500 plus overtime, and a 40-hour week within a vibrant workshop environment.

You will inspect and maintain a diverse fleet of heavy goods vehicles, trailers and bodywork, carrying out maintenance, MOT prep and DVSA-compliant servicing. Opportunities exist to upskill through courses and product training.

Qualifications

• Qualified and time served HGV Technician with thorough understanding of commercial vehicle mechanical dynamics.
• Ideally NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent and IRTEC accreditation.
• HGV Class 1 licence desirable; relevant licences may be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and preventative maintenance on a varied fleet.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and DVSA standard servicing.
• Perform 6/8 weekly inspections and rectify defects.
• Work on chassis, fabrication, hydraulics and pneumatics; inspect electrical wiring.
