Job summary

Vincere in Beenham, Berkshire, is seeking an experienced HGV Workshop Supervisor to oversee a team of technicians while continuing hands-on servicing, maintenance and fault-finding. The role combines supervision with active workshop work and a route to progression within an established environmental services business.

The ideal candidate will hold an LGV Class 2 licence (minimum), NVQ Level 3 and City & Guilds HGV Parts 1–3, with strong HGV maintenance experience and solid leadership

Qualifications

• Must have LGV Class 2 licence (minimum).
• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds HGV Parts 1–3 or equivalent.
• Strong HGV maintenance and fault-finding experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrics and mechanical systems.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety.
• Strong communication and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and allocate work to HGV Technicians and Apprentices.
• Carry out hands-on HGV servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
• Manage job cards, service sheets, defects and VOR reporting.
• Support fleet maintenance, parts management and stock control.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, LOLER and company procedures.
• Work closely with the Workshop Manager to improve workshop efficiency.
