Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking an HGV Welder / Fabricator in Leeds to weld and fabricate on commercial vehicle bodies and chassis within a maintenance/refurbishment setting. You will work on tankers, trailers and HGVs, needing experience across multiple vehicle types.

The role requires ability to read engineering drawings, build from drawings, and spot/fix defects promptly while maintaining high workmanship standards.

Qualifications

• Experience of medium-heavy fabrication of steel construction & welding (2mm to 10mm).
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Experience working on trucks, trailers and tankers.
• Ability to build and tack weld fabrication from a drawing and then complete welding.
• Ability to spot visual faults in fabrications and correct them in a timely fashion.

Job Title: HGV Welder / Fabricator

Salary: Up to £18.72 per hour + Overtime x 1.5

Location: Leeds

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am - 4.30pm and Friday 8am - 3.30pm

About your new HGV Welder / Fabricator role:

You will be required to undertake Welding / Fabricating on commercial vehicle bodies and chassis in a maintenance and refurbishment setting.

This will include tankers, trailers and HGV's.

You will be required to work on a huge variety of different vehicles so experience in a variety of sectors is beneficial.

The successful HGV Welder / Fabricator will require:

• Experience of medium- heavy fabrication of steel construction & welding - (2mm to 10mm)
• Ability to build and tack weld fabrication from a drawing and then complete welding
• Ability to spot visual faults in fabrications and correct them in a timely fashion.
