Job summary

Lanes Group Ltd is a leading nationwide utility services provider. We are seeking a Civils Assist Operative to support United Utilities on the North West contract, working within the CCTV & Jetting and Civils teams to deliver first-time-right service.

Hours are 50 per week, Monday to Friday, 6am–4pm. Salary ranges £36,946–£38,246 per year with weekly pay. A valid HGV Class 2 licence and a driving licence (≤6 points) are required to join our safety‑driven team.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence required.
• Full driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Adhere to safe dig practices at all times.
• Ability to work under pressure and use a company tablet.
• Forward planning, tidy workspace and good time management.
• Ensure plant and equipment are used correctly.

Sapphire Utility Solutions, a Lanes Group Company specialise in multiple divisions.

United Utilities operates across a number of contracts across our business, predominantly wastewater network services as part of the AMP 7 period plan. The Team support reactive and planned maintenance across the CCTV & Jetting and Civils teams, further supported by our in house Traffic Management Division and Capital Projects covering the entire UU network.

Civils Assist Operative

Hours

50 hours per week. Monday to Friday, 6am-4pm)

Salary

£36,946-£38,246 per annum per annum depending on experience and tickets. Weekly pay

Purpose of the role:

As a Civils Support Operative, you will be working on our United Utility contract within the North West. Working to meet the needs of the client in the most cost-effective manner whilst working with your team. You will provide expertise, experience, and work closely with your team to deliver a first-class service to our customers. You will be competent on working in wastewater networks. You will be able to engineer solutions on site and focus your teams on completing work right first time.
