Cheshire East Council is seeking an HGV Waste & Recycling Driver Loader to join our frontline team. You will drive, lead a crew and ensure household waste and recycling are collected efficiently and safely across the borough.

You will hold an HGV licence with a Driver CPC, supervise colleagues, and deliver excellent service to residents while working outdoors in a dynamic, hands-on role. This is a 39-hour week over four days, Monday to Friday with a rotating day off, emphasizing safety, teamwork

Qualifications

• HGV licence and Driver CPC required.
• Experience leading a team in a frontline service is a plus.
• Strong health and safety awareness in a public-facing role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a collection crew to collect household waste and recycling efficiently.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks, manage routes, and ensure service standards are met.
