About the role

John Lewis Partnership Commercial Vehicle Technicians are essential to our logistics network. They ensure our fleet is well maintained, enabling us to serve our customers effectively.

Location: Waitrose Regional Distribution Workshop, Aylesford, Kent

Salary: Up to £44,200 plus overtime. A shift premium of 15% (up to £4,725 annually) applies.

Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week on a rota:

• Week 1: 6am - 2pm
• Week 2: 2pm - 10pm

Contract: Permanent

Responsibilities

Working on large HGV lorries, ensuring vehicles meet safety and roadworthiness standards per VOSA and Partnership requirements. Completing inspections, services, defect sheets, and spares requests, adhering to 'O' Licence obligations. Applying best practices in vehicle repair and cost management.

Essential Experience & Qualifications

• City and Guilds Level 3 Vehicle Technician or equivalent
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence
• Proven experience in commercial vehicle repairs
• Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness standards
